The Content of Prayer

On Sunday Pastor David shared about the content of our prayer. I think that our prayer lives needs to be a lifestyle in our Hillside Ministry. Most of all my prayer is that I myself want to live a Kingdom lifestyle. Sometimes, this is not easy for me. I think my prayer life is still in the Asking stage-which is the Outer Court, I would like to get to the inner Court which is the seeking, then the most important place I like to end up in is the Holy of holiess which is the Knocking stage. I want this kind of a prayer in my life. (Matt 7:7-8)

"To Be Loved, Be Lovable"

I want to be the one to love, that is unloveable in our society. Sometime it’s hard for me to do that but I pray you teach me how to be humble before you. Here is a song from my heart to you.

Humble King
Words and Music by Brenton Brown
Oh kneel me down again
Here at Your feet
Show me how much You love humility
Oh Spirit be the star that leads me to
The humble heart of love I see in You

You are the God of the broken
The friend of the weak
You wash the feet of the weary
Embrace the ones in need
I want to be like You, Jesus
To have this heart in me
You are the God of the humble
You are the humble King

I would like to share these words of encouragements with someone who need it. “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

“Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.” (Romans 5:6-11)

Salvation

How do we know that you are saved? Here is a song:

Salvation
Salvation spring up from the ground
Lord, rend the heavens and come down
Seek the lost and heal the lame
Jesus bring glory to Your name
Let all the prodigals run home
All of creation waits and groans
Lord, we've heard of Your great fame
Father, cause all to shout Your name
Stir up our hearts, oh God
Awaken our spirits to awe who You are
Put a cry in us
So deep inside that we cannot find
The words we need
We just weep and cry out to You
This is what should happen asking God, Stir up our hearts so that we could run home like the
prodigals son did when he sinned againsted the father (God).

When I read, Prayer Driven Life; I thought it need to be more deep in its content. One thing I do agree with is how to grow a church is 1. Prayer, 2. Prayer, 3. Prayer but Prayerlessness is a Sin. A church that does not pray is not a church at all! In the bible God said, I will show great and might things. (Jeremiah 33:3). The Bible also, said Prayerlessness is a Sin (1 Samuel 12:23). I believe that prayer should be our first concern; here is why we don't pray because, When the fear of God is absent, Prayer is absent. We don't pray because we don't fear God enough. My prayer is this let God, teach us to pray (Luke 11:1) saids, Lord, teach us to pray. Let's get back to our prayer life.
